"If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it." -Willy Wonka
Hello. My name is Josie and this is my personal website.
I am a thirtysomething graphic artist and photographer. I reside on the
beautiful island of Guam
with my dogs Yoda
and Leeloo
and cats Blacky
and Regan.
On days off I enjoy reading, conquering the great outdoors, the company
of friends, and a good cup of tea.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you call your site Latitude13?
Guam is located at 13.28 degrees North, 144.47 degrees East. Latitude 13 sounds cooler than Longitude144. And 13 is my favorite number.
That IS a cool name. Can I use it?
No.
Why do you do this?
Because it's fun!
What do you use to design your site? Who hosts it?
L13 is designed and maintained on a PowerMac G5 and an iBook G4 using Dreamweaver MX, BBEdit, and Photoshop CS. L13 is hosted by LivingDot. The index and archive pages are powered by Movable Type 3.2.
I see you use Movable Type. Can you help me with a problem I'm having with Movable Type on my site?
Sorry, no. I don't have the time nor the energy. You might be able to find help here, though. Good luck!
Lenses?
Nikkor 80-200 mm f/2.8 ED
Nikkor 18-70 mm f/3.5-4.5 DX
Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 D
Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6 D
Nikkor 24-50mm f/3.3-4.5 D
Where do you buy your photography gear?
I buy almost everything from bhphotovideo.com. They're fast and I've never had any issues with them. If I don't buy it from them I'll get it on eBay. If you live on Guam, DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT buy locally (unless on base or if you've compared prices online). The markup is typically outrageous.
Can I use your photo for this or that? Probably. But only if you contact me for permission first. Stealing is not cool and is punishable by A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES.
Do you freelance?
Yes. If you have something you think might interest me, feel free to send me an email.
Just so we're clear...
